Oslo Hiking
Oslo Hiking offers guided hiking tours of different lengths in the woods surrounding the city. The hikes take you to viewpoints along rivers and to some of the hidden treasures of the Nordmarka forests. The experienced guides can tell you about the local flora and fauna, and the rich history of the woods. If you want, you can also walk in silence. The tours start just outside Oslo Visitor Centre at the Tiger Statue on Jernbanetorget. From there, you will take public transport to the starting point of your hike. A return ticket is included in the price. Dress according to the weather and wear hiking shoes. The paths can be wet and slippery. In the summer months, Oslo Hiking also offers longer tours where you get to spend the night in the forest. On the three-day Krogskogen woods tour, you get to experience undisturbed natural beauty, enjoy the silence, learn about the Viking times, and much more. The Canoe Tour takes you across 12 lakes on the way from North to South in the Nordmarka forest. The tour is suitable for everyone who wants to experience nature up close. Canoeing experience is not required. The Øyungen adventure is best suited for everyone who prefers a shorter, easier hike, but does not want to miss out on real nature experiences. On this tour, you get to sleep in a tent or a hammock in the middle of the forest and start the day with a swim in the pristine water of Øyungen lake.
