Stadtpark
The oldest public park in Vienna, this place is filled with various statues, monuments, and greenery. Don't miss out on the opportunity to see one of the most photographed monuments in the capital city of Austria - the golden Johann Strauss memorial. The park opened in 1862 thanks to Andreas Zelinka - the mayor of Vienna during that time. It's divided into two parts - a regular park and then a "Children's Park", which is used for sports and has a playground for kids. Apart from the Johann Strauss memorial, there are plenty of others to choose from. Whether it's Franz Schubert, Franz Lehár, Robert Stolz, or Hans Makart, you are probably going to find one of your idols here if you're interested in art and its history. There are various concerts and events happening in the Kursalon, which is also a restaurant, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the park.
